It May Be Time to Upgrade Your Oil Tank

- 12:20 pm - October 13th, 2015

Is your oil storage tank over fifteen years old? Then it’s time to get it inspected for signs of wear that may be compromising its safety and effectiveness. If your old tank is in need of replacing, Coan Oil can remove it, dispose of it safely, and install a brand new high-quality tank. With a selection of models from world-class manufacturers like Granby and Roth, you’re sure to find the oil tank that’s suitable for your fuel needs.

In addition to updating your oil storage tank, we can also upgrade the oil line that connects your tank to the burner. There are many great reasons to upgrade your oil line along with the tank:

  • As of September 2011, Massachusetts state law now requires that fuel lines in contact with the floor either be encased in a non-metallic sleeve or have a safety valve installed. We’ve been doing it that way since 1990, so we know exactly what it takes to make your new oil line safe and compliant with the law.
  • A new oil line will significantly minimize the chance of a fuel leak, protecting your home and the surrounding environment from any harm.
  • Because the oil line is not visible, we cannot inspect its condition. Oil lines corrode and wear out over time like any metallic object, and a brand new line will set your mind at ease.

To learn more about state requirements regarding oil lines, visit the Massachusetts Department of Energy and Environmental Affairs website at www.massgov. Contact Coan Oil today to request a FREE evaluation of your tank.
